Child Tax Credit Outreach

President Biden’s American Recovery Act provides an expanded Child Tax Credit for tax year 2021. More families are eligible for this tax credit, and the amount available to parents has increased. This expanded tax credit is temporary and only available for 2021.

The Child Tax Credit in the American Rescue Plan provides the largest Child Tax Credit ever and historic relief to the most working families ever – and most families will automatically receive monthly payments without having to take any action.

  • Starting in July, people who claim kids on their taxes will start getting paid each month up to $300 per child

  • If the IRS knows about you and your kids, this will happen automatically

  • You will want to take action now to make sure you receive this tax credit - steps for getting your advance payments are seen in the below image.

WND Child Tax Credit Outreach Events

As an organization, WND has been working hard to reach families in the Woodbridge neighborhood, and assisting with signing folks up for these direct payments. In an effort to reach our families with kids in the neighborhood, we will be hosting three neighborhood events for our kids and parents. More information on each event date, location, and timing can be found below.

Unfortunately due to inclement weather, we had to reschedule the events scheduled for this week.

  • Tuesday, September 28th - Roberts III Apartments - 3pm - 6pm

  • Wednesday, September 29th - Woodbridge Estates - 3pm - 5pm

  • Thursday, September 30th - Freedom Place - 3pm - 6pm
